Easy Dhal Curry

You must add this easy dhal curry recipe to your week! Serve with rice or whatever you feel like to make a complete meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of red lentils

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp. nubeleaf Organic Turmeric Powder

  • 5 tbsp. curry powder

  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds

  • 2 dried chilis, broken in half

  • 1/2 cinnamon stick, broken in pieces

Directions:

  1. Wash and drain red lentils

  2. Add washed lentils into a deep pot and boil with water. Add in onion and garlic.

  3. Bring lentils to a boil on medium heat, then cook on medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until lentils are tender. Keep them on a low simmer.

  4. Add turmeric, curry, cinnamon and mustard seeds. Mix and cook for another minute.

  5. Stir in the coconut milk. Let cook for 5-10 minutes until the mixture is a bit sticky.

  6. Taste and add more curry powder, turmeric, chillis, mustard seeds and/or cinnamon according to your taste preference.

  7. Once the desired taste is achieved, serve with rice and enjoy!!!
